Olive wood · Made to order

From the grove,
reshaped by hand.

Every pen begins as a piece of my own olive wood, cut from the trees I tend in Reggello. From there it passes into skilled hands, turned and shaped until it becomes something entirely new.

A small, unrepeatable object — carrying the same land, the same story, as my oil. Made in collaboration with a local craftsman, one piece at a time.

01

Selection

Each piece of wood is chosen by hand for the character of its grain, then cut into small blocks sized for turning.

02

Preparation

Every block is drilled with precision to hold a brass tube, sanded to help the resin bond, then left to cure before the real shaping begins.

03

Turning

For thirty to forty minutes the wood is turned on the lathe and refined until the pen's silhouette appears. No two pieces are ever alike — and sometimes, being a living material, the wood breaks during the work. That, too, is part of its nature.

Beauty lies in simple and authentic things.

Finishing

Once finished and assembled, that small block of olive wood becomes a pen — entirely handmade.

Made to order

Yours, personalised

A pen with
your own mark.

One piece of wood, one story.

Two ways to make it yours

Plain, or engraved.

Each pen can be ordered plain, or personalised with engraved initials or a short phrase of your choice. Every pen carries the Lavinia mark — the same small emblem that lives on the oil — a quiet way of carrying a piece of this land with you.
